Title: Endless Love/Autumn in My Heart (2000)

Genre: Drama, Romance

Episodes: 16

This drama tells the story of Yun Joon Suh (Song Seung Hun) and Eun Suh (Song Hye Kyo) who grew up together as siblings, but in fact they have no blood relation at all. Apparently Eun Suh and a girl named Shin Ae were switched when they were babies. Joon Suh and Eun Suh grew up in a wealthy harmonious family while Shin Ae grew up in a poor unhappy family. Shin Ae, Eun Suh and Joon Suh went to the same school. Shin Ae who envied Eun Suh a lot often teased her.

The Greatest Love has reached its end. Too bad I haven’t watched the entire episodes though, maybe later. But MBC has prepared a new drama to watch: Heartstrings. Four words to describe this drama: youthful, romance, comedy, melodrama. I love it! I’m downloading the 1st episode now, and currently waiting for the subtitle to be released. Hopefully this drama meets my expectation. You know, usually romantic comedy dramas and movies have got a happy ending. Romantic comedy story (as long as it isn’t cheesy) can brighten our days. Anyway, here’s short description of this drama:

Heartstrings (Hangul: 넌 내게 반했어, Romanized: Neon Naege Banhaesseo , literally means “You’ve Fallen for Me”, formerly knows as “Festival” and “You’re into Me”) is South Korean drama about the main characters’ love, friendship and dreams, set against the backdrop of an arts university.

Lee Yoon Sung grew into a boy who longed for love of a mother. Lee Jin Pyo was a very strict father. When Yoon Sung was 17, Jin Pyo finally revealed the secret. Hearing the story about his father’s death, Yoong Sung was determined to get revenge. They moved to America to ‘start a new life’ and started planning revenge mission before returned to South Korea. And Yoong Sung’s journey as a “City Hunter” began.

In South Korea he meets Kim Na Na (Park Min Young), the girl he saw on a picture before. Even tough at the beginning they used to argue each other, they eventually began a sort of friendship and attracted to each other. Fans are excited about the light bulb kiss between them on a rooftop ha ha. Yoong Sung also meets his birth mother, the one that he thought had discarded him. (more…)

Here goes my third post, still about Korean drama. This drama is really recommended to watch, City Hunter.

The story takes place in Seoul, 2011. Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) is a talented graduate of MIT who works on the international communications team at the Blue House. He plans revenge on the five politicians who caused the death of his father.  Lee Jin Pyo (Kim Sang Joon), his surrogate father trained him very hard and he eventually became the “City Hunter.”

“City Hunter ” is the original script based on the world famous Japanese novel by Tsukasa Hojo. Since the publicly that Korea will be the first to remake  this story into a drama, “City Hunter” has received worldwide attention.

The beginning of the story itself is quite tense. Started from the bomb attack Burma on October 9, 1983 when South Korean President was visiting the country. This attack involved North Korea, killed sixteen people. Lee Jin Pyo and Park Mu Yeol (Yoon Sun’s father) was close friends who served in intelligence agencies, in anti-North Korea unit.

Lie to Me

Have I told you that I’m a Korean drama fan? Even though I haven’t watched every single drama available in Indowebster (we can download Korean dramas here), I can tell you that about 80 %  of my hard drive is filled with Korean dramas files. Here’s one of the dramas I’m currently watching, Lie to Me.

This drama is about Gong Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye), a level 5 Ministry of Cultural official, who is ‘trapped’ in a web of lies when she mistakenly lies that she is married to Hyun Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan), a hotel manager from a wealthy family. Their relationship becomes complicated when Hyun Sang Hee (Sung Jun), Ki Joon’s brother, attracted to Ah Jung. And, when Oh Yoon Joo (Jo Yoon Hee), Ki Joon’s ex-fiancé, reappears.

At first, I was so excited about this drama. I mean, look at the casts. We’ve got Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan here. Especially for Yoon Eun Hye, her role in Goong has lured me (and many people who watched this drama). She’s very popular so that the bag she wears in this drama becomes very popular (believe me, it’s just a plain bag). (more…)
